Coming to You Live

From the CHA Super Show!!! That's right, I made it and the first day has me so exhausted. I got to meet so many people that I've got to talk to over the years on SCS and other places. Plus make and takes, freebies, you name it. It was a blast!!!!

I even got to do my Friday Fun Challenge using Taylored Expressions stamps (which we got as a freebie) and I got to meet her & all.

Bling Bling

Being though I haven't been able to spend much time in my craft room I've been on a jewelry making kick. In my living room where I do my jewelry my back doesn't hurt as bad. I made this bracelet the other night and it only took me about an hour. I really like it. I have a couple of ideas in my head that I want to make that I'll see about making over the next week.

Touch of a Butterfly

Craft Critique put out a call not that long ago for butterflies for the Holocaust Museum in Houston. (I have a confession I'm not sure if I interpreted it correctly but I made something) Now it's the first time I've been in my craft room since my surgery but this project actually means something to me for two reasons: 1) ethnically I'm Jewish 2) but more importantly to me I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Although Jehovah's Witnesses don't get as much attention as Jews for being put into the concentration camps of that time, they were one of the major groups. The symbol that they had to wear to identify them were purple triangles. For that reason in my project I used a lot of purple. I also used a mold that I got a while ago at a jewelry making convention to make faces to signify the nameless faces that were lost all those many years ago. Without much further ado, this is what I made...btw, it was very much out of my box of what I normally make.Supplies (WARNING: there are a lot):

Learning Curve

I'm taking the Jessica Sprague class on Photo Editing: Frame Ups & Special Effects. I have to admit I'm already having fun with day 1. Let me know what you think.

Slightly Different

I've been in the process of trying to reorganize my craft room and if you had seen it before I started you would understand why it's taking so long (yes, I did take pics...for some reason my card is acting up but I'm trying to trick it into behaving). This is besides the fact that I have to take it all slow because of the whole "healing" thing...BOO!! Hence I've been pulling out some other play toys. Including some pretties for me...LIKE THIS...

I've already worn it and I really like it. The earrings were a lot easier to make then I expected, even if they included seed beads.
I have another one that I'm about to work on, we'll see how that one will turn out because when I started playing with it a little tonight it wasn't starting out as planned.

I've Been a Bad, Bad Girl

at least that's how the song goes by Fiona Apple. At least that's how I've felt recently because I've neglected my crafting and blogging for so long during my healing. I do a little while I was healing so I thought I would get on and share what I did get to make while I was down and out. It was during the VSN Vegas Baby. Yes, it was that long ago. And yes I did share one of them already but one of them I didn't I don't think because it was digital...which reminds me I need to try to print it and see how that works. So without any further delay here they are.
