Using Whatcha Got

One of the major perks to me as being part of the Stash a SOGgy girl is that they are challenging me to use it up.  That’s right, I don’t know if you believe this or not I have a stash.  Are you as shocked as I am?  image

For the first challenge that I am participating in, however, it is Stash Challenge #6.  It is to use Ribbons & Rubons.  I really didn’t have a problem with either because it’s not like I didn’t have both.  My main problem was finding the right rubon to use.  Yet, I found the perfect one.

KissSmileNow ya gotta go check out what the other girls did because they did an amazing job.

My Girls

For you that don’t know I was able to make it CHA a couple of weeks ago.  I can’t believe it’s been a couple of weeks already.
Before I went I wanted to make up little gifts for my girls.  I was able (ok, so I only remembered) to get a picture of a couple of them.
KyBunny
ANecklace Not all of them had watch pieces and I made all of them were made to match their favorite color.  I tried to make all of them unique.
In the next few weeks I’m hoping to being selling these in my etsy store.  If you have any requests let me know and I’ll go ahead and start putting something together.

I’ll give you a sneak of how I used Kissy Mae but you’ll have to come back Thursday to see the whole thing.  I know I’m evil!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!

One of My Favorite Things

In the crafting world, there are several stamp companies I keep coming back to.  In fact, if I had to narrow it down to my top 2 it would be without a doubt and I say this as being in no particular order…

1) Unity
2) My Favorite Things

Which brings me to my latest project.  I really love to mix all my loves and passions.  I was inspired by the latest My Favorite Things GDT challenge.  Didn’t bother me a bit that I had loaded up quite on goodies while I was CHA and it gave me an excuse to break them out.  hehe

Hitting the Books

This week (or at least in the next couple of weeks) a lot of the kiddies are going back to school.  My nephew included.  I can’t believe he is starting the 2nd grade.  I can still remember when I was in the 2nd grade and who my teacher was, Ms. Mann (by the way, I didn’t like her!!).  It just blows my mind that I can have a nephew that can be going through that now.

In honor of the begin of the school year, we over at All Things Unity decided to make projects with school in mind.  Not only that because I was such a slacker on my normal Friday Fun Challenge, I incorporated that as well.  I’m hoping they’ll forgive me for totally flaking.

1stDayPlease go visit my Friday Fun Sassy Girls to see what they made then you can go to the All Things Unity blog to see what the rest of the Design Team came up with.

Chapter 25:White Rabbit, White Gloves, White Wonderland

"After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won't she be savage if I've kept her waiting!'
Alice felt so desperate that she was ready to ask help of any one; so, when the Rabbit came near her, she began, in a low, timid voice, `If you please, sir--' The Rabbit started violently, dropped the white kid gloves and the fan, and skurried away into the darkness as hard as he could go..."

~Alices Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 2

Hello dolls!
We are back in the WHITE heat of August with another fabulous challenge for you today! This week at Oh, Alice we are trying to BEAT that heat, and you know, they say you shouldn't wear dark colors this time of year to keep cool!
In the spirit of that, along with our WHITE Rabbit and his WHITE kid gloves, guess what our challenge is for you today?
That's RIGHT. WHITE WONDERLAND. And we're not talkin' about Christmas! Your mission today, should you choose to accept it is to create (WITH the exception of your main image panel) an ALL WHITE card or project!

Scrap Pink

CM784 Save the Tatas!!  At least that’s my theme for it, hehe.  Ok it’s not but I just love that mantra for Breast Cancer Awareness.

scrappinksmNext month Create~N~Crop Events is hosting an event called Scrap Pink where they will be making Breast Cancer Awareness the focus of the event.  Don’t get me wrong, we won’t be scrapping about b(oo)bies.  It just means that we will be making donations to Middle Georgia Susan G. Komen Foundation and Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation from the proceeds.

Anywho, the point… guess you’re kinda wondering that.  I’m teaching my very first class.  I’m not assisting, I’m not demo-ing… I’m teaching a full blown class.  I’m kinda excited, kinda nervous.  I’m teaching a class on the different ways you can make flowers.  If you’re in the area, I would love for you to come play with me.

If you can’t come play but you would like to support the cause, let me know.  For more informa`tion on the entire event you can check out the site… SCRAP PINK!!

I'm SOGgy!!

There were so many different ways I thought of going with this post.
  1. It stormed down here last night, so I could literally be soggy.
  2. Once I tell you what the SOG stands for, some of you will definitely have some smart comments ;) but that’s why I love ya.
digital stampsBut I narrowed it down to the above.  I am happy to announce that I’ve been invited to join the SOME ODD GIRL design team.

Please hold all comments til the end.  I did tell them I was perfect for this team as was indeed odd.  Don’t believe me?  Ask Kristy, I did I swear.

I’m part of the stash team (we’re divided into two teams style & stash).  Keep on the lookout for upcoming challenges.  This one doesn’t fall into either, it was just for fun!!  You will be able to find the challenges on the SOG challenge blog.CopicBook
Now believe it or not the image I used on my project was the freebie for July.  The freebie for August is Tiny Tobie and he is just too cute.  I used it on the front of a notebook I used to keep up with my Copic markers.  Ya know, which ones I have & don’t, plus what combos I like.  I got the idea from my buddy Colleen

Now I’m off to see the other debut projects for the team and of course download the new freebie for the month!!

Happy Anni-VERVE-sary!!

AVS3_bloghop250 Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Cassie's blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

Now I have to apologize because I’ve been a nightmare of a travel day so I will just show you what I did with my very first Verve set.  I hope to come back a little later today with a new card.

SomeoneSpecial

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Amy’s blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.
