WOOHOO FUN!!!

Ok that's all I have. I'm so tired lately that I think that took all the energy I have left. If you have any energy to spare I would to borrow some. Or if you would like to share a drink with me that would be good to. In fact that's the direction I took my Friday Fun Challenge this week. We were supposed to use the colors brown, green, purple and orange. And if you could use the colors without making a halloween card you get bonus points.

The best part is that Christi Snow is joining our Sassy Girls of Friday Fun Challenges!! We are all so happy she's joining us.

Now onto my creation...
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Parade of Cocktails; More, More, More
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Prism Simply Smooth White, PTI Stone & Kraft, Basic Grey
Extras: Copics, Gelly Roll Clear Glitter, Nesties, Generic Purple Jewels
Now on with the party!!!

Now if you want to check out the creation that I'm doing for Queen Kat today, it will be on their blog a little later today.

Loss of a Great Friend

Before anyone freaks out, it's not me. Thank you for worrying though (don't deny it you know you did just a little bit). A good friend of mine at work just had to put down her dog of I wanna say 14 years. I wanted to make her a small something to let her know that I understand and that I know I'm there for her.
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Ally and her dog, MFT - Essential Sentiments
Ink: Memento London Fog, Palette Noir Black
Paper: Prism SSW, Basic Grey - June Bug, Misc White CS
Accessories: Flower Soft - Ivory, Baubles, Copics, Primas & Center, Nestabilities
I put in the the middle a quote that I thought would be good. It says "If you have a dog, you will most likely outlive it; to get a dog is to open yourself to profound joy and, prospectively, to equally profound sadness."

Confession Time

I have confession to make. I have had a love affair for Rubber Romance stamps for some time now. I even tried out for the Design Team they had not that long ago (no I didn't get chosen), yes it does put a huge dent in your self-confidence. However, when I saw that they had a sketch challenge on their blog this week, I had to do it.I really enjoyed making this card because I got to use a technique that I hadn't gotten to gotten a grasp of before.
Stamps: Katie & her balloons; Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa & Tuxedo Black; Paper: SEI - Oasis, GA Pacific, Prism - White Simply Smooth, PTI Kraft; Other: Flowers - Primas & centers, Copics, Spicas, Marvy Gel Excel, Nesties

Rubber Romance Monday

I know it's Tuesday but I didn't get a chance to put this up yesterday. I've been a slight slacker and a slight busy, so take your choice on why it wasn't but up ;P. The challenge for yesterday was to use yellows and grays. I admit that I am the one that came up with this challenge. Now when I come up with challenges I don't come up with challenges that are easy for me, they're challenging for me as well. I had a hard time digging up things I wanted to use on my card, but in the process I was able to use things I've had for a while so I was super happy about that.
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Tuscan Hillside, ? Diva, MFT Going Places; Paper: Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Basic Grey Black Tie Collection Die Cuts, Misc Oval Cut; Ink: Paris Lights, Charcoal Palette Ink; Other: Copics, Pearls, Spicas, Gelly Roll Pens

New Design Team

Well if you can't be a part of one, make your own...lol. Not exactly how the phrase goes but I turned it how I needed.

I've mentioned before how I run the group over at Paper Craft Planet for the Rubber Romance group. I decided that we need to make our group a little more lively and in order to do that we should maybe have weekly challenges. In order to get this going I decided we should probably have a design team. I have some wonderful women on it which is kinda ironic on who it has turned out to be because I asked them before they asked me for the Friday Challenge.
Kim Muhl and Jimmi Mayo are the first two I'm going to introduce, I'm saving the other wonderful lady for next week at her request.

This week's first challenge is to use something recycled in your card. If you decide to play with us which we would love please upload it to Paper Craft Planet with the tag of RRC1.
Here's what I made...
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Diva Chef, Inque Botique Cupcake; Paper: DP Magonlia, Misc DP, Very Vanilla, GA Pacific; Other: Threading Water, American Crafts Ribbon, Hero Arts Jewel, Copics, Poly Shrink, Brads, Clothing Tag, Zig Pen

A Little Late

GoodGirls

I made this with two things in mind, actually three but I'll only bore you with the 1st two.  The first being the challenge that Jimmi posted for the Friday Fun Challenge, see I told you I was late.  The challenge was to use Rubber Romance stamps...not really a challenge for me.  Especially since I'm the ringleader for the group over at Papercraftplanet (which if you would like to come join us PLEASE DO!!)

SK121308ARWhich brings me to the second reason, the sketch challenge they currently have up at Papercraftplanet is this one.   As you can tell I loosely interpreted it.

Stamps: Rubber Romance - 3 Girlfriends, Unity Stamp Co. - Good Times; Ink: Palette Noir, Paris Lights, Versamark Black; Paper: Paper Salon Dazzle line, DP scraps; Other: Copics, Marvy Circle Punch, Rhinestones, clear eP, Glaze Pens, Zig Pen

Now for the surprise, if you can guess what three girls inspired the coloring of the card I might have something in it for you.  If I don't get some close guesses I'll ETA a clue.

VSN Weekend

I don't think I have every made this many cards in one sitting that weren't the same. And believe it or not I actually liked most of them.

Day 1 - I made 7 cards
This 1st one was to use the technique Spotlighting. I chose this Gina K stamp because I thought it would be perfect for this technique.
Stamps: Gina K Designs - With Daddy's Help; Ink: Palette Noir; Paper: SU Whisper White, Blue Bazzill, Misc DP; Other: American Craft Ribbon, Ribbon Tag, Copic
One of things I loved about playing VSN this weekend was I got to use things I haven't used since I got them which may have been years ago. For example in this card was this shaker kit.
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co - Oct KOM, Whispy Grass, Together Forever; Ink: SU Going Gray & Brillant Blue, Palette Rouge; Paper: GA Pacific White, Misc DP; Other: Primas, Embellies
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co - Together Forever; Ink: SU Going Gray; Paper: Basic Grey - Sultry, PTI Sweet Blush & Berry Sorbet; Other: Fiskers Corner Punch, Primas, SticklesStamps: Unity Stamp Co - Cuter Than Most, Hambo - Heard You Had a Bug; Ink: Palette Noir, Versafine Black; Paper: SU Whisper White, Heidi Grace DP; Other: Copics, Fake Baubles

I based this on a saying that a friend of ours says all of the time, in fact I'm going to have to send this to her.

Stamps: High Hopes; Ink: Palette Noir, SU Chocolate Chip; Paper: Basic Grey - Deciduous, Misc Brown; Other: May Arts Ribbon, Copics, Cuttlebug Distress Lines
I got the idea to wrap ribbon around a frame and I had gotten this frame for like $1.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Co - Oct KOM; Ink: Palette Noir; Paper: Appricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise; Other: Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl

Day 2 - I made 4 cardsFor Maren's challenge it was to either touch up/remake one of the cards you earlier. I chose the one right above this one because I really didn't like the way it turned out.
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co - Oct KOM; Ink: Versafine Black; Paper: Making Memories 5th Ave, SU Apricot Appeal, Whisper White; Other: Mike's $1 Ribbon, Darice Jewels, Clear eP
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co - Giggle Groove;Ink: Versafine Black; Paper: All Basic Grey - Boxer Line, SU Handsome Hunter; Other: Baubles, American Craft Ribbon
Stamp: Girl Face by Stampland; Ink: SU Brillant Blue; Paper: All Bazzill Cardstock; Other: Fake Baubles, Prisma Color Pencils, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & Birds & Swirls
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Trisha Spa Diva; Ink: Palette Noir; Paper: Georgia Pacific White, Misc DP; Other: Copics, Blue Eyelets, Brown Ribbon

Etsy Inspired

So I'm trying out a new challenge, one that Ashley aka Heart Hugs posts every Saturday. Each week she picks an artist from Etsy and we get to choose something from their shop to inspire us to make something. This week's artist is Camille or Pretty Girl Things.

This is what I chose for my inspiration. Granted I don't have a stamp of the Eiffel Tower but I used the next best thing, a street view of Paris street. And believe it or not I didn't use a Unity Stamp Co stamp...yes you may go into shock now.

Stamps: Rubber Romance - Chocolaterie; Ink: Palette Noir, SU Chocolate Chip; Paper: PTI Sweet Blush, SU Whisper White, all DP is Basic Grey Sultry; Other: Paper Piercer, Black Pen, Red Heart Jewels

PaperCraftPlanet

So Susanna Boyd started this ning community a while ago but in the last few weeks it has really taken off. You can not only make friends but you can keep up with your favorite companies like Unity Stamp Company, Gina K Designs, Stamping Bella, and so many I can't name them all.

In fact, I just created a group for Rubber Romance Stamps. So feel free to come check it all out. It's at www.papercraftplanet.com and remember it's not just about stamping it's about all things crafting.
