It's on to another Unity Bachelor challenge. This week's challenge was to make a recipe card. I took a little different approach. I decided to do it based on a You & Me recipe.

Make A Wish!!

If your wish that it is Friday, then it's granted!! Sorry you know I had to. It is Friday though and I have a super busy weekend planned. My sister, brother-in-law & nephew are coming down and we are going to the FAIR!! You know what that means ... that's right, lots of fried, greasy, nasty (by nasty you know I mean good) food.
To prepare you we have Friends with Flair AND Friday Fun Challenge. This week's challenge is to make a card for our wonderful sassy girl Jimmi. Here's what I came up with.I kinda thought it was funny how these elements came together, cause they all have to do with wishes. 1) we have the dandelion, 2) we have the clover {granted it is 3-leafed), 3) and a magic wand to grant the wish.

WCMD Rewind Part III

The final chapter or Part III. Thank you for hanging with me this long or should I say patient?

This time I combined Flourishes and Verve because I don't have any Verve (...yet). Flourishes was to use their sketch and Verve's was to use the color of a country's flag (I chose Kazakhstan, I did the best with the colors I had).

I'm So Excited!!

I have really good news for me!! I am on a Design Team for Queen Kat Designs. I emailed Vicki, Ms. Queen Kat herself if I should start this week with the stamps I have (in other words I don't have the new releases). I was just too excited to wait. SOOOOO....

On the Queen Kat site we are having not just Breast Cancer awareness but Cancer Awareness Month. Not many know this but my father had colon cancer in 2003. The good thing is they caught it early enough that they got all of it. He's been cancer free ever since. I made this card for Colon Cancer awareness. There are different sites that you can get what colors' of ribbons for which cause, I used this site.

WCMD Rewind Part II

Welcome back to my World Card Making Day rewind with the Splitcoast Stampers challenges.

I made this for the World Card Making Day Challenge for Crafty Secrets using Heather Scott's sketch. If you are not familiar with Heather Scott, you really should go check out her sketches that she does every Monday. The Crafty Secret challenge was to give dimension to your project. I stamped my image once and then stamped the book again so in a way it's a spotlight technique because it's the only thing colored plus it's popped up.

WCMD Rewind Part I

I know I've been talking about this since Saturday but I'll be talking about it for a couple more days. I mean else do we get a holiday dedicated to us and our craft!?! If you want to see something funny and made special for us Card Makers, my sassy girl Jimmi's daughter made a "special" song for us. If you ask me not only is she gorgeous but she has a beautiful voice too.

Jimmi is my girl. I say this because she is awesome!! She got together with Splitcoaststampers and arranged for some challenges for all of us addicts on Saturday. This along with Sponsor companies and some wonderful hostesses they pulled off one really fun day/weekend.

Now onto my 1st card to showcase...

I made this one as a combination for Unity Stamp Company Challenge and the Splitcoast Stampers Challenge. It was to use a sentiment as your focus and make a thank you card with chocolate (I think I messed up this part unless you want to say I did strawberry or white chocolate or count the twine) using Beate's sketch.

What Did You Do?

For World Card Making Day? Let's see I went out in service (translation for those of you that don't know, I went door to door talking to people about God), I went to see Fame (which was AWE-SOME), and I made 10 cards. That's right I said 10. Ok granted they were all alike but they were for a gift I was making. They were for the traveling overseer that we had visiting us this week at the Kingdom Hall. I made them 10 thank you cards and 10 monogram cards that they could use for anything plus a box they could put it all in. Here's the final product.

I know this is late in the day however it's been a really crazy day. One that included my computer pretending it wasn't going to work anymore. I did however get 10 cards made today. WOOHOOO!! I will show them to you tomorrow. I just wanted to drop in to celebrate our big day.

It's Friday once again. WOOHOO!! Although, thankfully for me I was off yesterday & today. Though it does still mean it's not only Friends with Flair but Friday Fun Challenge. It's a new month and our hostess for this month is Kim. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so we are making cards with pink as the main color.
