Tonight is Special

Tonight is a most special night. After sundown this evening is what is considered Nisan 14. The scripture at Luke 22:19 where Jesus says “Keep doing this in remembrance of me”. Where will you be this evening? What will you be doing?

Friday Fun Challenge... Challenged?

Are you feeling challenged? I feel challenged. lol At least that is my reason for not having my stuff done today. You want my list of reasons, ok here they are... NAH!! I wouldn't do that to ya. But I will be back tomorrow with my card... No really I will!!

The challenge this week is to make a Spring card using the colors green, yellow & blue (think Certain Celery, Barely Banana and Bashful Blue).

Now although I didn't play that doesn't mean the other girls didn't rock it out. You may want to go see what they did for us.

Bumping Around with Whimsy & TCC

76551867

I hope you are all having a wonderful SPRING week. We have been having a crazy weather week, it’s been ranging from the 70s to the 40s here. Personally I hope it will even out soon. Everything is in bloom and it’s been gorgeous. This month is one of my favorites. And this is one of the reasons why. When I had lunch the other day, this was one of my views. I took this with my phone. It turned out a lot better than I expected.

I have such a problem running on, I need to learn to stop babbling. I will show you the sketch for this week’s Whimsical Wednesday.

DDSC28It’s by Jack. I gotta tell you one of these days I’m gotta meet these kids. And bring my nephew, he would have a blast with them!! I just know it.

Now as for the bumping around… I used my new set from My Favorite Things Baby Bump just seemed to fit this sketch perfectly. Let me know what you think. Then you can go see what everyone else did this week.

Chocolate-y Caramel-y Goodness MMMM

You know anything that starts out that way has to be good!!  Did you know that today is National Chocolate Carmel Day?  You know you gotta love anything that’s got to have a chocolate day involved.

I’m guessing you have sort of an idea what Kimme challenged us to do today.  This is what she said “You can use chocolate colors or images or anything else that makes you think of this wonderful confection.”  I just went with using chocolate colors.  It does kinda remind me of the old tins chocolates come in too.  Here’s mine…

Chocolatey Stamps: Stampland (?)
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper: SEI Oasis, PTI Kraft, Natural Paper
Extras: Joanne’s Organza Ribbon, Prisma Flower, Prism & OMS, Gold Microbeads

Now I’m off to see what other chocolatey goodness the girls made…

Weekend Review

PCEBanner

So in case you missed it I went to the Create~N~Crop Event this past weekend.  I had so much fun!!   We made my pendant Make N Take, which everyone enjoyed.  I would like to give Unity a HUGE thank you for their help on that.  I got to meet some wonderful people and reconnect with some others I’ve met in the past.

PCC One of those I got to meet was Susan from Papercrafter’s Corner which is an online e-zine and Southern Scrapbook News & Gossip Hub.  She was so amazing, and I can’t wait to meet up with her again.  You can even see her write up of this weekend here.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!! FFC

This month is Women’s History Month so we are celebrating by making cards using female images.  My problem was which female image to use… it was like sitting in my room going eenie meenie miney moe.  The newest stamps won out mainly cause they have that vintage flair to them and I really like how she had a strong female presence and reminded me a famous woman in history.

GoingMyWay

It’s Tea Time Wednesday

DDSC26J_thumb[3] Feeling Inspired?  This Whimsical Wednesday we’re using an image to get us inspired.  And I have to say it took me a minute or two to figure out what I was going to do.  Was I going to use the colors? The cat? The stars? Well you get the idea.  Then I figured out I couldn’t do the cat because I don’t have any cat images, I’m just not a cat person (doesn’t help that I’m allergic).  I decided to go with the colors and the tea setting.  Now I just want to go see the movie.

TeaTime

I believe I was supposed to use a Character Cafe stamp this week but I totally goofed, I think it may have been partly because I completely flaked and I was very excited that I got my Kimmie stamps in.

Stamps: Yvette, Unity Teapot
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Misc Purple, Basic Grey – Lime Rickey, Neenah SSW
Extras: Nestabilities, Stickles, Ribbon, Copics

Mad Scientist

Feeling somewhat like a mad scientist the last few nights.  I’ve started broadening my horizons just a little, yeah like I needed that.  Then with the liquids and the mixing, MWAHAHAHAHA, ok sorry. Anyway, I’ve been having fun and I have to admit.  The thing is the part I like the most is that it’s actually turned out how it looked in my head (which rarely happens).  I know, I know stop babbling…

ButterflyStatue ButterflyStatueSet

Back to Basics

It’s a back to basics FFC.  I have to admit I find these very challenging.  I mean VERY!! Jimmi says I’m a chicken.  I’m a self proclaimed gadget girl, see I avoided using the word toy their… hehe.

It’s Kimme’s month and in case you didn’t guess from the above sentence we’re using the very basic of supplies.  Here's what the torturer said “This week make a card with NO COLORING.  Get out your solid stamp images and colored ink pads and stamp on your card.  Extra points if you even STAMP your background and don't use any patterned paper.”

HAHA on them I didn’t even used ink!! HA…

BikeRide

Stamps: All Unity – Distressed Dots & Hearts
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Chocolate Chip
Ink: NONE!!
Extras: Lizzy Thickers, Acrylic Paint

Now see how my other sassy girls fared this week…

It’s a Character of a Wednesday

We are here for a Whimsical Wednesday. Being on this team is what makes Wednesdays fun for me. And this week we have a sponsor, The Character Cafe. If you’re not familiar with them they are a digi stamp company and have some very cute stamps. You have to check them out, well like the one I used this week.

CCJustMarriedIf you want a chance at this and other stamps they have, you could win $10 worth and trust me that could be quite a bit. How to win? You can upload to an online gallery using keyword DDSC25 but don’t forget to go to the Whimsical Dare blog to put it in the Mr. Linky list.

Just make sure you do the challenge this week to be considered in the running, the winner will be chosen at random.

Wanna see other choices, you gotta see what the other girls made.

Sickness Stinks

In case all of you didn't know that already. There's a lot going on in my family and will be going on over the next couple of months. So I will be here hit and miss. All I can do at this point is apologize.

Plus to add insult to injury, I have come down with a cold. I do seem to be on the mend though.

I won't get preachy or at least not much. However in light of what happened in Haiti and then what recently happened in Chile, I would just like to make a reference to Matthew chapter 24. It should really not come as a surprise these things are happening. Scary, maybe a little. For me, I find it a cause for happiness because it means better things are to come. And that will end my "preachiness" for today.

Many HUGS!! to you all. I'll check in soon!!
