WOOHOO FUN!!!

Ok that's all I have. I'm so tired lately that I think that took all the energy I have left. If you have any energy to spare I would to borrow some. Or if you would like to share a drink with me that would be good to. In fact that's the direction I took my Friday Fun Challenge this week. We were supposed to use the colors brown, green, purple and orange. And if you could use the colors without making a halloween card you get bonus points.

The best part is that Christi Snow is joining our Sassy Girls of Friday Fun Challenges!! We are all so happy she's joining us.

Now onto my creation...
Stamps: Rubber Romance - Parade of Cocktails; More, More, More
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Prism Simply Smooth White, PTI Stone & Kraft, Basic Grey
Extras: Copics, Gelly Roll Clear Glitter, Nesties, Generic Purple Jewels
Now on with the party!!!

Now if you want to check out the creation that I'm doing for Queen Kat today, it will be on their blog a little later today.

So Do You Think

Do you think you can stamp? That's what we've been asked for the last 3 weeks by My Favorite Things and the challenges haven't been getting any easier. There should be 3 more weeks with a culmination to the Grand Finale. This week was the Waltz and this one took me a little outta my box. I was pushing my stamps out of theirs as well. This is what I made at first.

However when I was done I just was satisfied with the way it looked. It just seemed to missing something BIG TIME!!! So I stepped way and got to thinking about because I really didn't want to remake the whole thing and this is what I came up with.

By the time I was done, I LOVED IT!!!
Stamps: Gone to the Dogs, Ben Paper Dolls
Paper:
PTI Soft Stone, Perfect Panels, Memory Box Butterfield Collection, Sprinkles Vellum, Bazzil CS
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black
Extras:
PTI Twine, Foof a La Button, Copics, Prisma, Bazzil Flower, Word Window Punch, Computer Generated Sentimen, Shimmerz Silver Bellz, Prism Bling
If you would like to see the other awesome competition that I'm up against and I mean it's stiff you can see it here.

Slight Change and More Fun

No it's not Wednesday but you get all the fun of Wednesday on Monday and Wednesday now. Royal Wednesday is going to on both days. How cool is that? That way you get twice as much of the fun during the week. I'm moving to Mondays. So you should be coming to me from talented Anita's blog. If not you may want to go back to the beginning of the hop at the Queen Kat blog.

This week's challenge was to use a Pier One Import ad. I did and used to make a fall themed card. I kinda have as a Whoo is hiding in my wreath?
I would like to apologize for the quality of the picture for some reason my camera has not been cooperating recently. I'm going to work on taking another one later today. ETA: I changed the pic but I don't that it's that much better. Oh well!
Stamps: Hooters Stamp Set
Paper: PTI Dark Chocolate, Kraft, SU Apricot Appeal
Ink: SU Whisper White
Extras: LOTS of ribbon, 18g wire, colored pencils, CB Embossing Folder Leafy Branches, Nestabilities, Eyelet & Twine (hold the wreath in place), googly eyes
I just love the googly eyes with these owls, it just seems to scream for it to me. Even though they are slightly too big for the little one once they are on you wouldn't know it.

Now on your way to the rest of the hop my little pretties...your next stop is one of my besties Ashley she always has some wonderful eye candy.

Hi I'm Sara and

I'm a paper horder/whore. I would say I was an addict but that would imply that I want help . I have so much paper I feel like the old woman that lived in the shoe, it would go somewhat this way "she had so much paper she didn't know what to do". To give you some kind of idea I was cleaning/organizing my room this weekend and making sure that at least all my paper was in one place. Here is most of it...
I have to still find room for just some of my plain cardstock. It's kind of sad. I'm trying to put myself on paper buying restriction until I go through some of it. No matter how cheap or pretty or how much I convince myself I will use I'm going to have to tell myself no until I use up some of this. OHHHH all the pretty paper how I will miss you.

Triple Your Pleasure!!

Triple Your Fun!! At least that was my philosophy for this Friday's Fun Challenge. Our challenge, first of all for this week was to get into the box or should I say make one well mainly anything not card like. How perfect was it when this week in the Weekly Inkling there was the tutorial on how to make a Watering Can? Plus the template that you could print out. It was super easy.
THEN... there was Inspiration Challenge where the hand decorated tiles by Xenia Taylor.
Stamps: Kitchen Sink Stamps - Multistep Sunflowers
Ink: Memento - Dandelion, Potter's Clay, Cottage Ivy, Desert Sand, Rhubarb Stalk, Versafine Imperial Purple
Paper: SU Apricot Appeal, PTI Spring Rain
Extras: Chatterbox Ribbon, PTI Twine & Ripe Avocado Button, K&Co Jewels

ETA: Really must stop writing these late at night. I hope my sassy girls will forgive because I to link them once again. Will you please go visit them so maybe they will forgive me?

Hey Baby, Hey Baby, Hey!!

When I was going for the So You Think You Can Stamp otherwise known as SYTYCS on the first week which was Swing. I had decided to make two mainly because I was on a roll. I wanted to share with you what I ended up making.
Stamps: Snuggle Bunnies, Essential Sentiments, Behind the Scenes
Paper: PTI Ocean Tides, Soft Stone, Perfect Panel
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & London Fog, Palette Prussian
Extras: SU Yellow grosgrain, PTI Vintage Buttons, Gelly Rolly Sparkle Pen, Copics, Yellow Stickles, PTI Twine, Word Window Punch, Sparkle Fluff

On the inside to get the look I was going for I stamped off the Memento London Fog then went over it with Gelly Roll Sparkle pen. On top of that I stamped the sentiment. Although I think these bunny were super duper cute this is not the one I entered into the contest. I entered My Little Love Machine and came in 3rd that week.

Hoo's Special?

You are!!! At least that's the way I feel about all you guys. AND IT'S FRIDAY!!! I got to tell you I need like a whole extra 24 hours in my week that nobody else knows about but me so that I can get things done or just sleep.

It's time for Friends with Flair and the Friday Fun Challenge.

This week Kim challenged us to use a sketch. I have a confession, I am a sketch junkie. Sometimes I follow them to the letter, other times just for inspiration but definitely a sketch junkie.

I just got this kit from Scrapbooksteals.com, it's Cosmo Cricket. I got a really great deal and it's a beautiful kit.
Isn't this owl so cute? It was the only thing I stamped.
Stamps: Owl Always Loves You
Paper: Cosmo Cricket - Fleuriste, PTI - Kraft
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Extras: Cosmo Cricket Cardstock Sticker (same kit), edged ruler, Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste Die Cut, K&Co Jewel, Nestabilities, Pop Dots
I only cut the top part of the owl so he could pop up a little away from the card & from behind the circle.

My sassy girlies are going to be hanging out this weekend (hate I won't be there!!!). Leave them so lovin letting them know how awesome they are please.

Today you should be coming to my blog from Anita's if not you may want to go back to the QKD blog and see what everyone else has created.

My Little Love Machine

I'm been on a challenge kick lately. I made this for the MFT contest "So You Think You Can Stamp". This week's contest is to be inspired by West Coast Swing (Think lift, flip and spin!) I had a lot of fun with this one, so I made two. It gave me a chance to do techniques I haven't done before.

For this one I actually used 2 technique, a tilt card & spinner. The robot tilts, the gears with Love and Machine on it spin. I even made it where the arms move using the little brads that came with the Mr. Roboto kit.

Paper:
Mr Roboto Digi Paper, Perfect Panel Paper, Cosmo Cricket - Cogsmo, PTI Soft Stone

Memento Tuxedo Black, Palette L'Amour

I thought I would take a side shot so you could the layers and the fact where the spinners & tilt is.

Make A Wish!!

If your wish that it is Friday, then it's granted!! Sorry you know I had to. It is Friday though and I have a super busy weekend planned. My sister, brother-in-law & nephew are coming down and we are going to the FAIR!! You know what that means ... that's right, lots of fried, greasy, nasty (by nasty you know I mean good) food.
To prepare you we have Friends with Flair AND Friday Fun Challenge. This week's challenge is to make a card for our wonderful sassy girl Jimmi. Here's what I came up with.I kinda thought it was funny how these elements came together, cause they all have to do with wishes. 1) we have the dandelion, 2) we have the clover {granted it is 3-leafed), 3) and a magic wand to grant the wish.
Stamps: Go Ahead Wish (Sept KoM)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Dandelion, Cottage Ivy
Paper: Bazzill Yellow mono pack, Prism SSW, Cosmo Cricket - Earth Love Remember & Repeat

I did a little close up for you so that you could see a little of the glitter/shimmer.

Please remember to go see the other sassy girlies, especially Jimmi and say HI!!

If you are not familiar with Heather Scott, you really should go check out her sketches that she does every Monday. The Crafty Secret challenge was to give dimension to your project. WCMD Rewind Part I

I know I've been talking about this since Saturday but I'll be talking about it for a couple more days. I mean else do we get a holiday dedicated to us and our craft!?! If you want to see something funny and made special for us Card Makers, my sassy girl Jimmi's daughter made a "special" song for us. If you ask me not only is she gorgeous but she has a beautiful voice too.

Jimmi is my girl. I say this because she is awesome!! She got together with Splitcoaststampers and arranged for some challenges for all of us addicts on Saturday. This along with Sponsor companies and some wonderful hostesses they pulled off one really fun day/weekend.

Now onto my 1st card to showcase...

I made this one as a combination for Unity Stamp Company Challenge and the Splitcoast Stampers Challenge. It was to use a sentiment as your focus and make a thank you card with chocolate (I think I messed up this part unless you want to say I did strawberry or white chocolate or count the twine) using Beate's sketch.
Stamps: Unity - Go Ahead Wish
Paper:
PTI - Sweet Blush, SU Tea Party DSP
Ink: Memento Lilac Poises
Extras:
Primas, PTI Twine, Hot Cue Bubble, Copic, Tiny Twinkle, Nestabilities
Stay tuned for Part II...
